Our next #GuildChat takes place Friday, June 2nd at 11AM PT/2PM ET. This week’s topic is The Here, Now and Next of Mobile Learning.
Mobile has been all the rage. The combination of tech meeting learners on the move was the right combination at the right time. Devices from phones, to tablets, to wearables and sensors present unlimited potential for learning. And now mobile has become ubiquitous. Has this been both a win and a loss for attention to mLearning though?
In this week’s #GuildChat we will discuss the here and now of mlearning and the tech that supports it, as well as where this “killer platform” is advancing for organizational learning… or if it is at all.
Ponder your devices, how you use them and how you do not for learning. Then look around, what is happening in the consumer space and how that is possibly a leading indicator of what comes next for mobile L&D.
Q1. How much of your learning is via a mobile device today as compared to 5 years ago?
Q2. What things do you learn about on mobile devices vs. other mediums?
Q3. What promises of mobile tech from its bleeding edge days do you think have actually happened?
Q4. What promise of mobile do you think have fallen flat? Why do you think that happened?
Q5. What kinds of mobile solutions have you seen done well in L&D?
Q6. A more recent trend has been using mobile devices for content creation. How has this changed how you create L&D content?
Q7. Do you think interest in L&D mobile projects is waning, or just integrating into other mediums and approaches? Why?
Q8. Where do you see mobile in L&D going 5 years from now?
