At the 2014 Performance Support Symposium, I learned a lot. I learned that the conversation about the evolution from training to the strategy of performance support is advancing well. There are significant advances in innovative technologies to enable the strategies. There are imaginative plans being documented to execute. What is still lacking is the ability to effectively propose the shift in methodologies and adoption of the change of focus and, especially, investment.
The battle is half won but I am confident that with events like this year’s Performance Support Symposium and the contribution and thought leadership of those involved, we will win the war.
