What is #GuildChat?
#GuildChat is an online chat that takes place on Twitter. #GuildChat is an hour-long chat that will generally take place every other Friday at 11am PT / 2pm ET. In the cases of holidays or other potential conflicts, the chat may be pushed forward to the following Monday. A listing of all scheduled chats through the end of the year is included at the end of this post.
Like many other Twitter chats, #GuildChat will be structured around a set topic and a series of questions designed to spark conversation. It’s a great way to connect, share, and learn from other members of the eLearning Guild Community.
Who Should Participate in the Chats?
This chat is designed as an extension to the conversations that are already going on in the eLearning Guild community. The chat is applicable to anyone that is interested in using technology to help individuals (and organizations) learn and improve their performance. We will be exploring topics of interest to people who work in these spaces, and invite anyone who may be interested in a chat topic to join the discussion – the more diverse the participants, the more we can all learn from the conversation.
What Topics Will Be Explored During #GuildChat?
We’ll be exploring a number of topics during the chats, and we’ll also be taking suggestions from members of the Guild Community on topics and questions for the future. Here’s a tentative list of topics that we plan on exploring through the end of the year.
Friday 9/19 – Performance Support in the Workplace
Friday 10/3 – Tracking and Measuring Learning and Performance
Friday 10/17- Enhancing Your eLearning Design and Development Skills
Monday 11/3 – What We Learned at DevLearn
Friday 11/14- Sharing Your Expertise
Monday 12/1 – Community-Based Learning
Friday 12/12- What Did We Learn in 2014?
We’ll post questions for each chat a few days beforehand right here on TWIST for those interested in a sneak preview before the chat. We hope you’ll join us for this new conversation… #GuildChat!
